Job Details
An opportunity has arisen with Headline. The successful candidate will receive all aspects of training to become a qualified Hair Stylist.
Working week Working Week: Monday to Saturday - working four out of the six working days at the salon, starting 8:45 am to 5 pm with 1 hour lunch break, and one working day on day release at the college
Total hours per week: 39.00
Expected duration 24 months Apprenticeship level Intermediate Level 2 (GCSE)
Duties include:
- Meeting and greeting clients
- Keeping the salon clean and tidy
- Reception duties
- Learning shampoo and massage techniques
- Learning cutting and colouring techniques
- Learning all other aspects of hairdressing
Requirements and prospects Desired skills
- Has a keen interest in hairdressing and looking to pursue a career in this field
Personal qualities
- Customer focused and able to deliver excellent customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen learner
Desired qualifications
GCSE at Grade D or above (3-9) in English and math, or equivalent qualification.
Future prospects
It is hoped that the successful applicant will achieve Level 2 Diploma with a view to further their career at the salon on a permanent basis, depending on circumstances at the time.
