Child Care Officers

Pay level – NJC 9-17 £20,903-£24,491 (pro-rata)

40 hrs per week term time only.

Sleep in allowance may be available.

The successful applicants will be experienced at working within a childcare setting. They will work with pupils who are residential at the school Monday -Friday. They will provide a range of one-to-one support and group activities. They will be expected to work within all the school policies and work effectively and proactively within a team and with other professionals within the school.

Successful candidates can expect to be deployed across all houses if required.

Their qualifications will include:

  • NVQ or L3 Health and Social Care Children and Young People
  • Education to a sufficient standard to support pupils’ after school learning.
  • Level 1 BSL
  • Experience of working with young people with complex needs.

Due to the nature of this post applicants must be aged 22 or over.

Your willingness to enhance your British Sign Language is essential.

Informal visits are strongly encouraged however due to COVID-19 restrictions contact will be via video or phone in the first instance.
