Job Details
This is a diverse Office role, working for a well-established electrical firm in Brighton. The role will encompass general administrative jobs and help with day to day running of the office. There are 2 apprenticeship positions for this role.
Working week Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 with 1 hour lunch break.
Total hours per week: 35.00
Expected duration 18 months
Possible start date 17 Dec 2020
Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level 3 (A level)
Apprenticeship summary:
Duties will include:
- Answering phone calls
- Taking and delivering messages using Clik software
- Inputting data using various software
- Signing for deliveries
- Typing quotations / documents
- General day to day running of the office
Requirements and prospects Desired skills
- Basic computer skill
- Experience in handling phone calls would be beneficial but not essential
Personal qualities
- Highly Motivated
- Great organisational and communication skills
- The candidate must have strong attention to detail and work well in a team
Desired qualifications
- GCSE maths and English (Grades 9-4 (A*-C)) or equivalent
Future prospects
- This role has potential for the candidate to be promoted within the firm

Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (MET) was created from the merger of City College Brighton and Northbrook College Sussex. It is the college for our City and our region and draws on 150 years of heritage, history and experience.
The MET offers a comprehensive range of qualifications for 16 year olds leaving school, full and part time courses for adults, apprenticeships, professional qualifications and university degrees.
