Are you an experienced operational manager, passionate about delivering high quality and efficient adult community services?

Do you want to work as part of an ambitious team focused on excellent patient care? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to lead the delivery and continuous development of critical services across East Sussex including the regions of Brighton and Hove, and High Weald, Lewes and Havens.

It is an exciting time to join our Area Management Team (AMT), as we work to develop our strategies in line with the NHS Long Term Plan and the development of Primary Care Networks. The successful applicant would lead the delivery and development of these services along with a number of clinical pathways and improvements both locally within Brighton and Hove and HWLH, but also for assigned projects across SCFT.

The General Manager is a key member of the AMT, reporting to the Deputy Area Director, with overall responsibility for the delivery of effective, facilitative business and operational leadership across the area. The post holder would be responsible for the delivery of all performance metrics and KPIs (quality, operational and financial) targets within their services, proactively identifying exceptions and developing remedial plans with service leaders and clinicians. The post holder will also be involved in business case development, report writing and data analysis. This role is critical in transforming our services and developing our workforce.

The General Manager has a visible leadership role across their services and will need to adopt a compassionate leadership style to enable staff to deliver the right care with the right skills. You will be required to work across multiple sites and must be able to drive with access to a car for business purposes.
