Job Title: HR Assistant

Location: Hove

Salary: £27k pro-rata depending on experience

Part time, 24 hours per week (cover either 3 full days or five part time days)

Our client is looking to recruit a part time HR Assistant with a flexible working approach to work in their Hove office. The position is part time covering 24 hours and will cover either 3 full days or five part time days. The HR Assistant will work closely with the Management team ensuring that HR policies and processes are consistently and efficiently executed.


Supporting 100+ staff including remote workers
Help develop new starter packs and induction plans.
Aid with Leavers including Exit Interviews
Develop, implement ,update and advise on all HR policies, processes and procedures
Aid the Appraisal process to include objective setting for all roles.
Recruit staff, which involves developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, and, where applicable, interviewing and selecting candidates
Ensuring compliance for Health and Safety across all sites.
First point of contact for all HR enquires for employees
Support managers in all matters relating to HR including disputes, disciplinaries and grievances
Overseeing staff attendance and absence monitoring
Ensuring that HR Files are up to date, maintained and kept secure.
Support the Payroll Department where needed
Interpret and advise on employment law
Aid in the development of HR planning strategies, which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements


This role would suit an individual who is CIPD qualified or equivalent and has had previous experience within an HR role.
The post requires good communication, teamworking and organisation skills.
