Are you a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) looking for a new challenge, or a Band 5 ready for the next step on your career pathway?

We are looking for an innovative therapist who is keen to join us and help with the ongoing development of our blended approach to Speech and Language Therapy provision in Mainstream Schools and Early Years in and around Crawley.

Both teams team work with busy, interesting and diverse caseloads. The teams are well supported by a range of Specialist Speech and Language Therapists including those from Complex Needs, Hearing Impairment , Stammering Teams and the Speech and Language Setting Support Team. We also benefit from a supportive and positive relationship with our colleagues in Education and other community-based professionals from health organizations and West Sussex County Council.

The successful candidate will receive a comprehensive induction which will lead into excellent regular supervision from Specialist Speech and Language Therapists (Band 7), along with an identified "buddy" for more informal support, and additional peer group supervision. We have clinically-focused meetings every six weeks, clinical forums, and journal clubs. We offer in-house training in a range of specialist areas and benefit from access to Trust funding for external courses when appropriate. We also have equipment budgets which enable the service to continually improve resources for assessment and therapy.

As a large team (over 100 SALTs plus SALTAs and administrative staff) we have many opportunities for career development and it is often worth asking about the likely availability of additional sessions across the Children's SALT team. If you think might be interested in working with us, why not get in touch?

Full or Part-time working considered.
