Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (GBMet) (formerly Northbrook College and City College Brighton) aims to transform the lives of students across the Greater Brighton region.
This post offers the opportunity to work as part of the Additional Learning Support department, a team committed to delivering high quality support to students across the college. This interesting and challenging role involves making a positive difference to the learning experience of students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and supporting the Lecturer in all areas of teaching and learning.
You will be working either with groups or one to one with learners from age 14 upwards, providing support in class as they study on a range of vocational courses. Due to the nature of some of the courses delivered you should be comfortable in a practical environment.
It is essential that you hold GCSEs or equivalent in English and maths and have some experience of working or volunteering with disabled students, students with language and literacy difficulties or students with emotional or behavioural difficulties. You will also need knowledge of Microsoft Office software and have competent keyboard and IT skills.
Interviews will be held on 17 December 2020
