To apply for this position you need to hold the Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care (or be close to qualification).

We have an exciting opportunity to offer a motivated individual who is interested in becoming an essential part of one of our fast-paced Responsive Services Teams across the Trust!

In Responsive Services, we work hard to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions, and also support patients through the critical first few days after they leave hospital.

We have a variety of locations available for suitably qualified staff across West Sussex and Brighton and Hove

We deliver:
  • A rapid response to people in the community who are experiencing acute episodes of ill-health
  • A supported discharge service to facilitate timely hospital discharges
  • Short term support for people who require assistance with activities of daily living
  • A rehabilitation service including a range of therapies

The teams have recently received the green light to expand our current urgent care work and we are looking for a wide variety of posts including Band 4 Nursing Associates to join the team. We are happy to consider full time and part time posts to allow the post holders to have greater flexibility in working hours.

We are looking for Band 4 Nursing Associates who will work independently under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse Assessor, to support and deliver a range of clinical activities in line with patients' individual care and urgent treatment plans within Responsive Services.

Applicants must have (or will soon have) a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care (Adult Nursing), as well as excellent clinical, communication and team-working skills.

We offer a comprehensive induction programme and excellent ongoing professional development opportunities.

Your role will include participating in audit, and supporting Healthcare Assistants and Student Nurses on placements within the team.

You will have the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative with sound clinical knowledge and judgement as well as a willingness to develop new skills and embrace change.

Candidates must have a clean driving licence and use of a car for work purposes.

For further details or to arrange an informal discussion with either a Service Manager or someone currently doing the role, please contact Jill Woodvine on 01273 696011 Ext. 6067 or Jo Harrison on 01273 696011 Ext. 8192.

This post may close earlier than the published closing date if sufficient applications are received.

Correspondence relating to this vacancy will be conducted electronically. If you have not heard from us within 2 weeks please assume that your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
