Materials Handler

The Best Connection Worthing are currently recruiting for a Materials Handler for a Manufacturer and distributor of plastic components in the Worthing area. 

This position is a 12 week temp to perm contract

Responsibilities of the Materials Handler

• To ensure familiarity with all standard operating procedures which are associated with the
  job role being undertaken.
• To identify and verify materials issued to the works order and ensure correct materials are
  always being used.
• Always Maintain records of batch numbers of material and locations keeping materials
  identified on the shop floor.
• Liaising with other staff as required e.g. kitting department / mould shop staff.
• Return materials as per the company ERP system requires ensuring serialisation, bar coding
  and identifying of batches for traceability.
• Complete walk around in the last hour of the shift and ensure all dryers are full ready for the
  next shift

Requirements of the Materials Handler

• Attention to detail.
• Good understanding of percentages
• An understanding of the factory environment and processes
• Ability to calculate product packing requirements
• PC literate.
• Good housekeeping skills

Pay Rate: £9.00 per hour

Shifts: 07:55 to 20:00 Mon-Thu with 65 minutes break
