Lead Practitioner in Adult Care Apprenticeship

We would like to recruit an experienced, level 3 qualified, senior carer who has experience of working in a busy residential care setting for older adults with dementia and other mental health difficulties and age related frailties.

We are a small, independent, animal friendly home with a home-from-home feel.  We recognise that our residents, while having much in common, are all individuals.  We believe in offering services that do justice to the identity, dignity and circumstances of each resident we care for.  We are registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSC) to provide care for up to 24 older people.

Apprenticeship details:

This role requires flexibility in working 42 hours a week which will include one long day each weekend.

Shift patterns are 8:00 am – 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm, 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, 8:00 pm – 8:00 am

42 paid hours per week 

£  416.22 per week 

Length of the qualification course 18 months 

This is a demanding role with progression opportunities for the right person.

It will predominantly involve working with residents and meeting their daily living needs, while motivating and supervising others in the team and contributing to the smooth running of the home.  It will also involve contributing to care planning, risk assessments, supervisions and quality assurance.
