Job Specification
Energy Search Collective is looking for a Sales ops/researcher to be based in our Hove HQ. You’ll assist the sales consultants and enable them to undertake their duties in as efficient a manner as possible. You’ll be providing cover for our operations manager who will be on maternity leave, working on the sales floor, providing support for a busy team of consultants and the Managing Director. You will perform effectively in each of the following areas on a daily basis:
- Inputting candidate information into the database
- Answering telephones and responding emails
- Acting as a receptionist to visiting clients, candidates and visitors
- Handling incoming calls and queries
- Arranging interviews
- Format candidate CVs in preparation to be sent to clients
- Logging events and activities on the database
- Organising company work events
- Stock control and purchasing of stationery, office consumables and office equipment
- Updating the Energy Search Collective website
- Monitoring existing and setting up new jobsites
- Liaising with outsourced IT Support when necessary
- Booking travel itineraries for consultants
- General contracting compliance
- Annual ISO accreditation audit
- General office management and maintenance
- Work alongside Business Development function to identify relevant candidates
- Support the Marketing Manager with targeted outreach projects

Required Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics
In brief, you’re an organised, self-motivated sales/operations proferssional. You take your work seriously, but not yourself so much. You’ll be working with a small team, supporting the sales consultants, so the work can be pressurised, time dependent and of huge financial and reputational value. Ideally you’ll have worked in a similar sector.
You’ll be –
- Articulate, eloquent, practical and a lateral thinker. Someone who can learn quickly, lend their hand to anything and offer input at a quality level to all office relevant decision making
- Experienced in administration/secretarial duties gained within a busy sales environment (ie. estate agency, inbound/outbound call centre, recruitment company etc)
- Able to proactively identify potential problems and to remedy them before they occur, with a “can do” mentality
- Strong office & organisational skills
- Able to act in an extremely confidential and professional manner at all times
- Able to cope under pressure, prioritise, multitask and to work to tight deadlines
- Self motivated & hard working
- Comfortable with extended periods of data inputting
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Comfortable with Software such as Bullhorn, MS Suite.
