Finance Assistant: ROC

Finance Assistant

As ROC MEP continues its growth into 2021, we are now looking to add a new Finance Assistant.

 This will be based out of our head office in Crawley.

Specifics & Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable:

• Raising sales ledger invoices.
• Chasing outstanding receivable amounts from Customers.
•  Maintaining all Debtors Lists and reconciling to the ledgers.

Accounts Payable:

• Processing of all purchase ledger invoices.
•  Filing of invoices.
• Preparation of weekly sub-contractor labour reconciliation spreadsheet.
• Reconciliation of Supplier statements

Timesheets:

• Manage the weekly site teams timesheets to create payment schedule via 3rd party operator.
• Post T/S schedule into system and ensure all rates are accurate and up to date.

Bank Ledger:

• Maintain daily cashbook and run bank reconciliations.
• Preparation of supplier payment run.

Ad Hoc:

•  Reconciliation of VAT reports.
• Support with preparation and posting of month-end journals.
• Expenses posting & payment run.

Skills and Qualifications:

•  Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
• Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently on assigned duties.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform filing, record keeping and data entry tasks.
• Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines.
• 5 GCSE’s A* - C or equivalent including Maths.
• AAT or equivalent favourable but not required.
