Warehouse Operative

We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/Storeman to join a company based in Worthing on a temp to perm basis. Extensive experience in the warehouse industry is essential and forklift certificate is desirable 

My client is looking for a candidate who is committed and self motivated with the ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.  A good standard of physical fitness is also required in order to carry out the role efficiently.

Day to day duties are as follows:

• Checking goods in to ensure all orders have been delivered and checking for signs of damage
• Allocating correct storage area for items
• Placing all items into the correct storage area using a forklift if required
• Following all correct protocol and procedures for use of Forklift, skates, dollies or trolleys  and storage racking
• Ensuring all new goods are correctly entered onto the in house system including being allocated against the correct PO number
• Picking items as per the job picking sheet
• Checking serial numbers if requested

Requirements:

• Must be physically able to due to nature of the role
• Forklift license ideal 
• Previous warehouse experience
• Knowledge of Health and Safety guidelines
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Confident in working a busy environment and sticking to deadlines

Pay: £9.50-£11.00 per hour depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday 08.00am to 17.00pm
