Based at our Broadwater Campus, Worthing
We are seeking to appoint a Business Development Lead to scope new income opportunities locally, regionally and nationally, particularly in response to employers’ skills needs and meet set annual sales income targets both funded and commercial.
Your main duties will be to develop, promote, generate income and sell a range of quality learning, development and other employer-related services including Apprenticeships, Professional (full and part-time) courses and funded distance learning courses. To achieve clear engagement and business development targets and priorities as determined by the Sales Manager and Senior Leadership Team. To work with the Sales Manager to identify new income generation opportunities. To articulate, promote and represent the ethos and values of the College and ensure they underpin decisions at all times. To be an excellent ambassador for the College with the capacity to enhance opportunities for partnership work and meeting the skills needs of the Greater Brighton region.
You should hold a Degree/Professional Qualification appropriate to the role and have the following abilities or experience:-
- Significant previous customer service experience preferably within a sales (team) and/or business development environment
- Previous management, supervisory and/or team leading experience
- Experience of communicating and presenting at a strategic level
- Sound understanding of Apprenticeships, compliance and ESFA funding
- Proven ability to proactively identify commercial opportunities
- Proven ability to build strong and lasting business relationships from micro SMEs to major corporations/Levy payers
- Ability to be self-motivated as well as an adaptable, team player, works well under pressure
- Excellent planning, organisation and prioritising skills
- High accuracy and attention to detail
