Paediatric Nurse (Cross Site) - 37.5 hours per week

Are you about to qualify, are newly qualified or looking for something new?

Due to internal promotion we are looking for Children's Nurses to join the team at Chailey Clinical Services (CCS) to work across the various teams.

CCS works in close partnership with Chailey Heritage Foundation School (CHF) providing nursing support to children, young adults and their families.

CCS provides care and support unlike any other service in the south east of England; we put the child/young person at the centre of everything we do, and collaborate as a multidisciplinary team on a daily basis to meet all of the needs of the children in the education setting.

This is the perfect opportunity for you to develop experience in managing nursing care of children/young adults with complex healthcare needs, with the opportunity to increase your clinical skills in a wide variety of areas including enteral feeding, LTV, catheterisation and complex seizure management.

The post holder will play a key role in delivering specialist nursing care to the young people accessing a variety of services including the short breaks service providing much needed respite to families at weekends, the Residential School Nursing Team (RSNT) both within the education setting and in their residencies, and in the Chailey Rehabilitation and Transition Service (CRTS).

You will provide up-to-date knowledge and skills for the nursing management of these young people with complex heath needs and physical disability across the teams allowing you to develop relationships with the children and families in a range of settings.

SCFT is a learning organisation that actively encourages personal development and supports staff to obtain further qualifications and university modules such as The Child Physical Assessment course. The post holders will be supported by the Clinical Lead Nurses, service Team Leads and Practice Development Nurses to help them develop necessary skills and competencies.

Free onsite parking is available at CCS.

This post may close earlier than the published closing date if sufficient applications are received.

Correspondence relating to this vacancy will be conducted electronically. If you have not heard from us within two weeks please assume that your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please ensure that you check your emails, including your junk folder, on a regular basis. References will be requested electronically as well; please ensure you provide correct contact details for referees.
