Team Lead for UTC and HMIU - 31 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity to join our well-established teams within the Urgent Care Services across Crawley and Horsham. Within the Band 7 Team Lead role, the successful candidate with be the designated operational lead for the Urgent Treatment Centre at Crawley and Minor Injuries Unit in Horsham. This role forms part of the senior management team for urgent care services.

This is a rare and fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to apply for a Band 7 senior sister/ charge nurse post within the UTC and MIU. The post holder should possess excellent clinical and leadership skills in the field of Urgent Care with a wide variety of experience. Advanced communication skills are essential in addition to proven mentorship skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to lead the nursing team and possess the knowledge and skills required to deliver best nursing practice and will work closely with the Clinical Service Manager and Clinical Team Lead.

The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a track record of improving patient care experience and open to working in a climate of rapid change in order to ensure the services are responsive to national initiatives.

We also aim to create and maintain an environment in which all members of the department team can contribute to the maximum of their capability in providing a high standard of care for patients. Participates in audit and is a key lead in clinical governance within the service. The post holder must have experience in developing the services and staff to continually improve and advance the quality of services to meet the changing needs of the local population.

As a registered, accountable and autonomous nurse you will always act in the best interests of patients and take responsibility for own actions and decisions. You will be required to demonstrate strong leadership qualities and be open, transparent and trustworthy.
