This exciting opportunity working as part of our Organisational Effectiveness team will help deliver our strategy here at Virgin Atlantic through enabling our people and teams to be perform at their best.

As part of fuelling high individual, team and organisational performance, this role focuses on our values, organisational design, people process and products, strategic workforce planning, and change management which delivers benefit for the enterprise.


Day to day

As our Manager – Organisational Effectiveness, you will be responsible for the following day to day activities:


- Work in partnership with leaders to ensure their teams and individuals have the appropriate structures, processes, environment, and capabilities in place to fuel high performance

- Leverage people data, analytics, and insight to identify opportunities across the enterprise to drive enhancements, interventions and change that enables us to achieve our strategic ambitions more effectively.

- Work in partnership with People Journeys and Products team to ensure appropriate products and toolkits are available to managers and colleagues to fuel high performance on an ongoing basis

- Lead, facilitate and partner with leaders in delivery of team and individual effectiveness interventions and products focused on driving Organisational, team and/or individual high performance

- Influence, challenge, and support leaders using your breadth of understanding as to how our business works and ensure that any large and small scale change proposals align to our organisation design principles and will deliver significant benefit and/or value.
- Work in close partnership with our Strategic Workforce Planning team to ensure we hold a long-term picture of the needs of our business into the future and govern establishment headcount now and in the future.

- Lead and/or support on our people sprint projects that will ultimately help equip our people to be high achievers (past projects have included a review and relaunch of our values, development of leader’s team effectiveness toolkit. Future projects could include ensuring VAA has a fit for purpose performance management approach across all grades and workgroups which is mutually reinforcing and focused on driving individual and organisational high performance).


About you

For this exciting opportunity, we are looking for our successful candidate to demonstrate the following:

- Significant experience in working successfully with stakeholders at the most senior level (up to Exec level) – influencing, coaching, and challenging across a range of organisational effectiveness disciplines and acting as trusted confidante.
- Substantial strengths in analytical work with intermediate or advanced Excel skills – comfortable drawing insight from complex data, measuring impacts, diagnosing trends, and linking to performance outcomes.
- Depth of experience in shaping organisational people change programmes and supporting leaders in the delivery of these - people impact Employment Law aware.
- Innovative thinking – comfortable challenging accepted practice and brings the ‘outside in’ to drive the business forward.
- Experience in leading the facilitation of group learning and/or OE diagnostic interventions (for example team effectiveness workshops).
- High awareness and understanding of both self and others.
- CIPD qualified or equivalent.
- Change and/or Project Management qualified or equivalent (desirable).
