HR Assistant

Full time, 37 hours per week, full year post.

£19,767 to £21,628 per annum.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, people-focused individual keen to develop a career within HR.

The Human Resources Department at East Sussex College (ESC) provides a high quality, professional HR service to staff and managers across all sites.  ESC is an ambitious and forward-thinking teaching and learning organisation looking for motivated and engaged people to join us on our journey to excellence.

We are looking for an HR Assistant to join our friendly, hardworking team to provide key support in a range of HR activities relating to the recruitment and selection processes and pay and conditions of service for staff across the College Group. You will have an opportunity to work within all aspects of HR and, whilst the post will primarily be based at our Eastbourne site, some travel to other campuses will be required to meet the needs of the service.

This role is an ideal entry into HR for someone who is keen to make a start in this busy and challenging environment. Although some previous experience in this area would be beneficial, it is not essential as we will train you to use our systems and processes.

Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be highly organised. The ability to prioritise tasks is vital as this is an extremely busy and varied customer-facing role.  Strong IT skills, an ability to quickly learn new systems and procedures, as well as excellent attention to detail are also essential for this role.

This post is subject to a DBS check.

Closing date:  26th September 2021.

East Sussex College Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We welcome applicants from ethnic minorities as they are under-represented in this institution.

These values are central to our culture and a key part of our success strategy for individuals and for our college.

A NOTE FOR RECRUITMENT AGENCIES

We prefer to hire people directly, but we do have a preferred supplier list for when we require additional support. We will be in touch if we need you.
