IT Support Specialist – Client Support


B&CE have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as a IT Support Specialist – Client Support. You will work within a thriving function who have guided B&CE’s growth to become a leading provider within workplace pensions. In short, we are looking for a highly talented individual to drive to provide an outstanding support experience to end users at all levels acting as the visible face of IT.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Head of IT Services to deliver a 1st class service offering to internal customers
• Apply and uphold a strong service delivery ethos ensuring that it surpasses the customer’s expectations
• Perform 1st and 2nd line service desk support duties for all B&CE Hardware, software and AV systems
• Serve as a primary point of contact for technology support requests
• Analyse and define user problems and coordinate with users to identify problems for the purpose of creating reliable technology solutions that increase employee productivity
• Provide assistance to service desk members and other customers to secure easy and timely assistance in organisation for all levels
• Preparing cases for escalation to 3rd line support team whilst maintaining the relationship with the customer until issue is closed
• Creating a knowledge base by recording the details and solutions of cases for future reference, and ensuring customer records are kept up to date
• Alerting management of any service trends, such as reoccurring faults that require repeated support
• Participate in projects and releases that relate to the customer hardware and software
• Work closely with the IT training team to assist with developing and creating training documents that will assist the customer
• Assist in the development, implementation and enforcement of IT policies
• Develop and maintain relations with 3rd party support and vendors
• Perform day-to-day business as usual operational activities, ensuring scheduled jobs are performed
• Follow escalation procedures for important and urgent issues and incidents that may impact IT service availability to internal and external customers
• Excellent communication skills to ensure to all business stakeholders are kept informed of service and project updates
• Communicate between all IT operational teams to continually deliver service excellence to B&CE staff
• Build effective working relationships with business users and chosen suppliers whilst keeping updated with latest technologies
• Regularly monitor system access and security, making adjustments to meet emerging threats
• Manage the accuracy, integrity and security of data being released from the IT department; ensuring compliance with Data Protection and company policy
• Provide out of hours support as per business needs and policy
• Adhere to Company Risk Management policy and procedures, including reporting of incidents or breaches.
• Apply and promote Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) culture and principles, together with the organisation’s behaviours and values.
• Adhere to Company Diversity & Inclusion policy.

We require you as a minimum to have experience with:
• Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
• Previously worked in a dynamic IT Service Desk environment
• Proven experience with dealing direct with customers, and providing a high level of service support
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem solving & analytical skills
