Greater Brighton Metropolitan College is a General Further Education college with an accreditation from the British Council. The College was established over 150 years ago and has a long tradition of welcoming international students from all over the world. We deliver bespoke courses for groups focusing on Global Citizenship and Soft Skills. Key disciplines such as English for Business are integrated into the courses.
Hours will vary and may involve some evening work.
The role involves delivering high quality teaching and learning, learning resource development, assessment of student work, feedback to students, monitoring of student progress, management of student records, and all associated administration.
The successful candidate will have a well-developed and up to date knowledge and proven skills in teaching English to students of different needs, abilities and backgrounds, along with a commitment to continuous professional development, putting learner success at the centre of their practice. Experience of teaching IELTS and English for Academic Purposes would be an advantage.
Successful candidates will possess a Trinity TESOL/ Cambridge CELTA certificate or equivalent/suitable qualification. A diploma in TESOL would be an advantage.
