Job overview

Time to Talk Health has been supporting adults in West Sussex with mild/moderate anxiety and/or depression associated with their long term health condition since May 2017. During this time we've seen fantastic outcomes and have doubled in size. As we continue to grow we're now in need of a motivated Deputy Manager to support the development of the service.

Main duties of the job

As Deputy Manager, you'll operate as a valued member of the management team and contribute to the patient experience by ensuring our clinicians are supported to achieve our key performance indicators. Working closely with the Clinical Services Manager, you'll help to maintain an efficient and effective service through operational, HR and performance management processes. This will include change management leadership to drive improvements as we embed new ways of working for the team. You'll have responsibility for overseeing a small administrative team, supported by our Business and Administration Process Manager who will report directly to you. One of a number of Deputy Managers across the different TTT localities, you'll work collaboratively to ensure consistency across the services. A Deputy Manager is currently in post part time and we can consider a job share opportunity for the right person.

Working for our organisation

You will ideally have a proven track record of delivering high performance in areas you have managed, for example service development and/or staff management. You will be a team player with excellent communication and organisation skills, a keen business planner and the ability to work independently and use your initiative. Knowledge and understanding of the NHS and national mental health strategies would be an asset as would a HR background. A problem-solver, you'll need to be personable with the ability to form positive working relationships with clinical and non-clinical colleagues alike.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

We particularly welcome applications from disabled, LGBT+ and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates as we would like our TTTH team to reflect the diverse communities we serve. As a Trust, we recognise the positive value of diversity in providing high quality and culturally competent care; we are a Disability Confident Employer, and benefit from thriving and supportive BAME, Disability, LGBT+ and Religion and Belief staff networks.
