Producing and finalising accounts either for service charge or traditional accounting clients, to be reviewed by team leader before being sent to any client.

  • Producing and finalising accounts either for service charge or traditional accounting clients, to be reviewed by team leader before being sent to any client.
  • Preparation of self assessment tax returns to be reviewed by your line manager.
  • Bookkeeping
  • Using IRIS correctly so job progress reporting is readily available to all staff members. Including updating work flow spreadsheet.
  • Attending client meetings to provide accounts support.
  • Answering incoming calls from clients and making outgoing telephone calls to clients.
  • Providing email support to clients where required, remaining professional at all times and answering within 2 working days.
  • Providing support to your team where required on a daily basis.
  • Ad hoc administration which is a direct result of accounts you produce. For example, requesting a letter or engagement, letter of representation or invoice to complete an accounts job.
  • Attending training courses to support your job role, completing the professional development hours required annually.
  • General office housekeeping, including making hot or cold drinks for staff and clients.

Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (MET) was created from the merger of City College Brighton and Northbrook College Sussex. It is the college for our City and our region and draws on 150 years of heritage, history and experience.

The MET offers a comprehensive range of qualifications for 16 year olds leaving school, full and part time courses for adults, apprenticeships, professional qualifications and university degrees. The MET operates across five campuses in Brighton, Shoreham and Worthing and teaches around 3,500 16-18 year olds, 7,500 adult learners, 1,000 undergraduates and 800 apprentices.
