We're looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team. This post offers you the opportunity to use your clinical skills and knowledge within a community hospital setting.

Main duties of the job

Arundel Hospital provides multidisciplinary-led rehabilitation and sub-acute care to local residents, as well as managing complex discharges. If you want to work with a team who are happy, proactive, caring, patient and carer-orientated, with a creative problem-solving holistic approach, then this is the job for you.

We have an embedded Care Certificate programme for our Healthcare Assistants, and we provide clinical placements for nursing and therapy students, as well as those returning to practice across our community hospitals.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Job summary
  1. To assist in the delivery of nursing and rehabilitative care to patients ensuring the highest possible standards of care are received by patients and their carers whilst on the ward, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  2. To be an active member of the multi-professional team, supporting the rehabilitation of patients through the promotion of independence and planned programmes of care. Treating all patients with respect and courtesy, maintaining dignity and respecting individual needs and differences, both physical and cultural.

  • NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or Care Certificate


Experience
