Job Details
Engineering Technicians take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work they undertake within the limits of their personal authority. They also need to be able to demonstrate a core set of behaviours in order to be competent in their job role, complement wider business strategy and development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To attend work and block/day release college for the period agreed at the start of the apprenticeship, likely to be 4yrs
- To follow all procedures and directions to ensure the safety of yourself and others
- Maintaining and owning the quality of the products machined and adhering to company quality procedures
- Following and maintaining all documentation standards required
- Maintain house keeping standards
- Manual machining including Turning, Milling, Grinding and Hand Finishing
- Setting and operating of CNC machines using the programs and tooling specified
- Any reasonable task as directed by M/c Supervisor or Manager
- To gain experience of Inspection Procedures within the Inspection Dept
- To gain experience of some Assy/Bench Fitting operations
