Clifton Hill Associates (CHA) is looking to add an energetic and dynamic fee earning consultant to our team who will be responsible for the development of their own line of business within Clifton Hill Associates. This new hire will be key to the growth strategy of Clifton Hill in 2022.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to make the move into retained executive search or for someone who is looking to take more ownership of their business development and be rewarded in a more equitable way.

The role is based in Brighton with travel to London and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities to include:

  • The design and implementation of a business development strategy within a specific industry or function
  • Represent CHA at industry events, and grow and promote the CHA brand
  • Design and implement a strategy to build and progress key relationships within your respective industry or functional speciality space, globally, which will lead to successful business development
  • Work effectively with the research team to deliver world class projects for our clients
  • Manage clients and candidates sensitively and effectively throughout the search and consulting process
  • Contribute to CHA’s overall business strategy

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within a professional services environment in a client facing role, or within a consultative sales role
  • Experience with origination and project delivery within a retained executive search firm desirable, but could also have had experience within a contingent environment or other sales environment
  • An expert on a relevant subject matter or function developed through your own hands-on professional experience (i.e. Social Responsibility, Government Relations, or CFO function, CIO function, etc)
  • Track record of winning new business and the ability to retain existing clients
  • The ability to work internationally and build relationships effectively, underpinned, crucially, by an excellent understanding and respect for cultural sensitivity
  • Fluency in English is essential, a second language would be ideal but not a prerequisite
  • Strong verbal communication skills are essential, and the ability to present and speak publicly is highly desirable
  • An undergraduate or advanced degree is preferable but not a prerequisite
