We are looking to recruit two ALS tutors to provide Additional Learning Support for our learners that have gaps in education due the pandemic.
You will be responsible for pre- entry work to include preparation and co-ordination of initial screening, assessment and identification of learners needing Additional Learning Support using a variety of methodology as directed, and maintaining a close liaison with curriculum teams. To contribute to the design, timetabling and delivery of Additional Learning Support teaching. This may involve teaching students on a 1:1 or small group basis, or via workshop.
This role requires a high level of professional knowledge, experience and understanding of the subject areas, along with a relevant degree or professional qualification. Candidates will have relevant teaching experience along with a teaching qualification and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. A commitment to equality of opportunity is essential.
All new lecturing staff must possess GCSE Maths and English (minimum Grade C) or equivalent or willingness to gain and it is desirable that candidates possess assessor or verifier awards or other appropriate specialist training qualification
