Salary: £39,000 - £46,000 + bonus + benefits including up to £6,000 relocation package, pension, private medical and continuous training and development

Full time (40 hours to be worked flexibly)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated, solution-focused professional with at least 2 years’ proven management experience in children’s residential care to be our next Registered Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Manager with a strong knowledge of attachmentbased practice to lead a long-standing, experienced staff team to ensure that the children we look after have the very best home in which to thrive and be happy.

people who have a range of complex social, emotional, mental health SEMH needs which could potentially limit their
life opportunities and negatively impact their development. We offer an individual, supportive, and nurturing
environment for them to thrive.

Duties and responsibilities are varied and include:
• Leading the staff team to maintain the highest possible standards of care to ensure that each young person’s agreed placement plan is fully implemented and they have the best possible opportunities and outcomes.
• Co-ordinating and accessing the appropriate services (health, education, therapy) to ensure the needs of each child and young person are met.
• Ensuring any matters relating to child protection are managed in line with current legislation, quality standards and best safeguarding practice.
• Managing the Home within the agreed budget.
• Mentoring and supporting the management and staff team.
• Continually monitoring, identifying, and facilitating staff training needs in collaboration with the Training Manager.

Knowledge and experience
• Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs.
• Specialist knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Children’s Act 1989 and Care Standards Act 2000.
• Excellent leadership and staff supervision skills.
• Experience in managing budgets and rotas.
• Achieved a ‘Good’ or “Outstanding” grade within any recent Ofsted Inspections.
• Holds a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
• Already achieved or be willing to undertake the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
• Experienced in or happy to undertake therapeutic training.
