About the Role:
Job Title: Developer Services - Assistant Adoption Manager
Location: Flexible working/ Chatham/Durrington/Falmer
Perm/FTC: Permanent
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Salary: Up to £33,100 per year depending on skills and experience

Role Overview:
Southern Water are currently looking to hire an assistant adoption manager on a permanent basis. The key aspect of the role is inspecting the Mode, Method, Construction and Connection of Sewer Assets laid by our Developer Customers, ensuring that they meet Regulatory Guidance and Southern Water Technical Specifications. The role will be mobile, which will mainly consist of visiting Developer Sites and Southern Water Sites & Offices. The role comes with a comprehensive benefits package including a business needs car only, subject to doing 10,000 miles.


Role Accountabilities:


• Ensure that Wastewater Assets proposed for Adoption meet Regulatory/SW Specifications during the Construction/Maintenance Period 50%
• Lead on Vesting the Wastewater Assets proposed for Adoption post Maintenance Period, ensuring that the Vested Asset aligns to what has been agreed for Adoption 30%
• Track Inspections & Certification for Reporting Purposes 20%

Person Specification:


We are looking for somebody who has the ability to comprehend engineering guidance and specifications.

You will need to communicate with customers and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

We require somebody who has a positive attitude to service improvement and change within a fast paced customer driven environment.

You will be required to manage challenging customers with confidence.

If you are somebody who has strong communication, influence and negotiation skills, we would love to hear from you.

Skills/qualifications:


Technical
• H&S standards and regulations
• Wastewater regulations
• Construction Practices
• Management of various stakeholders

Risk & Compliance
• Understanding of Levels of Service/DMEX and regulatory compliance for construction is desirable

Desirable


• Experience in the Wastewater Operations
• Experience in Engineering & Construction
