Job Title: Billing and Collections Analyst
Location: Durrington, West Sussex / Flexible working
Perm/FTC : Permanent
Hours: 37 Hours a week
Salary: Up to £28,941 per annum depending on skills and experience

Role Overview:
A new opportunity has become available at Southern Water for a Billing and Collections Analyst to join the customer service team at Durrington, West Sussex. Initial training will be carried out on site at Durrington, and, thereafter, work locations can be flexible. The role comes with a comprehensive benefits package including eligibility for a company bonus.

The main focus of the role will be to work collaboratively with colleagues and Service Providers in supporting delivery of end to end retail billing and collection processes, realising annual revenue of £515m and cash receipts of £510m

Accountabilities
• Defining, analysing and acting on operational controls to drive process compliance and improvement across all areas of Billing and Collection -20%
• Account Management activities for multiple large key account companies and other licensed retail companies- 20%
• Engaging with Customer Services, Metering and Collection Partners to control exception management processes- 15%
• Operating cost controls across billing and collection and providing key inputs into budgeting and forecasting processes- 10%
Operating governance processes associated with the testing, deployment and sign off of the annual tariffs approved by the regulator across the SAP ISU and BAS platforms- 5%
• Development and delivery of operational plans to optimise billing and collection outcomes in line with Customer Service principals - 15%
Drive improvements across optimisation and exception processes to ensure these are customer led and operated efficiently- 15%

Person Specification
We are looking for somebody who has an eye for details and a desire to assist in the implementation of improvements to processes. The successful candidate will be show that they can maintain and build relationships with key customers, housing associations and stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills are essential for this role and we are looking for someone who has experience working in a high pressure environment. If you are highly focused individual who thrives on getting things right first time, we would love to hear from you.
