About the Role:

Role Overview:
An opportunity has become available to join the new Logistics team at Southern Water. The role of a Logistics Governance and Insights manager is to be responsible for governance, reporting & compliance across logistics, including tachograph & process adherence. Provide logistics insights to develop improvement activities as part of operational excellence. Responsible for data management across inventory and operations (e.g. new product introduction). Initial training will be carried out on site at Durrington, and, thereafter, work locations can be flexible. The role comes with a comprehensive benefits package including eligibility for a company bonus.

Accountabilities
• Lead and manage the Logistics Governance & Insights team (4 reports)
• Business performance reporting to executive-level leadership and business case creation for opportunities to improve cost, service and sustainability
• Ensure that system data is accurate and data management activities are meeting SLAs
• Support the delivery of specific projects / programmes of work focussed on the industry disciplines of supply chain and network management
• Collaborate with finance in budgeting and performance tracking
• Develop a culture of continuous improvement and wellbeing throughout operational teams that integrates with wider Southern Water operational excellence values
• Ensure safe working logistical practices, meeting required legislative and company policies
Person Specification
The right candidate will have a proven background in leading or managing a team with excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills. If you are somebody who thrives on delivering results and thinking outside the box, with the goal to continuously improve processes, this could be the role for you. Maybe you have experience in supply chain management or project management and you have a strong analytical mindset? Qualifications & Experience

• Supply chain or Project Management background, with proven experience
• Water industry or Infrastructure programmes knowledge would be advantageous
• Logistics/Supply Chain (e.g. CILT, CIPS) or Project management(e.g. PRINCE2, APMP, Lean Six Sigma) qualifications would be advantageous
