Job overview

Do you have an analytical background with the desire to improve data quality?

Does a role in the NHS, supporting crucial mental health services motivate you?

We are recruiting for a Clinical Dataset Improvement Analyst to join us and provide specialist analytical oversight on our clinical datasets. This is a crucial role as our clinical datasets are essential for monitoring and improving our Mental Health Services.

In this role, you will be supporting the development of aggregate reporting to provide transparency of the data reported within the Trusts clinical datasets including activity, KPIs and service level performance information.

As the Clinical Dataset Improvement Analyst, you will be the lead for the analysis and quality assurance of the Trust's clinical datasets. You will be directly ensuring that high-quality data continues to drive investment and improvement for our Mental Health Services and always promotes the Trust's positive clinical performance.

This role sits within the Performance and Improvement team. You will be joining the team at an exciting time of development and expansion as we adapt and enhance our ways of working to meet the growing needs of the organisation for relevant, timely, accurate and clear data to inform and direct service development and improvements.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with the Digital Team, your key areas of focus in this role will be the development of an assurance process and reporting for the Trust's key dataset submissions, as well as planning and delivering improvements. This will include the thorough review and mapping of local and national data flows, translating complex technical guidance and the detailed analysis of nationally published indicators in order to establish appropriate governance and reporting on the Trust's dataset submissions.

You will be taking part in the reviewing and reporting of business rules applied to dataset submissions, as well as working with the Performance Business Partners to contribute towards standard operating processes.

You will also be required to build and maintain constructive relationships with various stakeholders, including colleagues across the wider healthcare system.

You will need to use your strong analytical background, attention to detail, a creative, solution-focused approach and motivation to constantly improve the way we work.
