Do you pride yourself in providing excellent customer service, both face to face and on-line? Then come and join us in this varied post as front of house reception and as part of the wider administrative team, who support and develop a wide range of work and provide general administration to the School.

In this role you will also:

•Organise and service committees, working groups and meetings where required

•Deal with a broad range of enquiries from staff, students and visitors

•Provide a friendly and efficient online and in person counter service

•Maintain the enquiry office area and shared school spaces in a presentable manner

To be successful you will:

•Be experienced in team working and have proven organisational skills

•Have good interpersonal skills – able to listen carefully, ask relevant questions and summarise information to determine exact requirements

•Be able to communicate information in an understandable way orally and in writing as suitable to the situation, including those whose first language is not English

•Have a good understanding of MS Outlook (email and calendar) and Word together with a familiarity of databases and spreadsheets

•Be flexible to meet and deal with competing demands

•Be expected to operate in a highly professional manner

This post is full-time and fixed term until the end of December 2022. The anticipated start date would be as soon as mutually agreeable. Job-sharers are welcome to apply.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships 

This is a grant-funded scheme which enables companies to access resources and expertise they need to innovate, grow and improve their performance.

KTP enables a highly skilled graduate, known as an Associate, to be employed by the university to work full-time in your company leading a strategic project, with the support of an academic team with expertise relating to the project.  

Projects last between 6 months and 3 years; up to 67% of the project costs are provided by the Technology Strategy Board or another government sponsor.
