A graphic design role at a company setting standards for ethical, expert services in complex and challenging international contexts. You’ll design materials for multiple audiences, populating templates and creating infographics.

Integrity started as an idea in Damascus, Syria in 2009. It sets the international standard for ethically delivered, expert services in complex and challenging contexts. We help our clients in the international community and the private sector transform conflict and build stability, accountability and prosperity.

We have designed and delivered research studies across Africa, Asia and the Middle East. We have offices in the UK, US, Kenya, Jordan and Pakistan. The apprentice will be based with Integrity’s Graphic Design Manager and Head of Communications at our Brighton office.

Our communications team works with colleagues across the company to produce a wide range of creative project work for clients, as well as making a significant contribution to funding proposals and managing Integrity’s marketing materials.

Integrity supports the training and development of its team and seeks to build the skills of its apprentices so they can convert to being full-time staff members.

The Role

The Graphic Design Apprentice will work collaboratively with the Graphic Design Manager, communications working group and wider team at Integrity. Tasks will include:

  • Ensuring MS Office-produced reports and project documents (including PowerPoint presentations) are stylish, publishable-quality products that meet a range of internal and client branding requirements
  • Using a range of tools (MS Office, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro) to create graphic designs, data visualisations, infographics and to edit images for client projects and funding proposals
  • Creating designs for our website (visualisations, project summaries, infographics)
  • Building, managing and deploying our image stock library
  • Liaising with project teams to define briefs and schedule production to deadlines, supporting preparing statements and documents for submission to clients
  • Supporting projects with other design-related operational, logistical and admin tasks as required

Keep abreast of design principles and emerging industry trends to help wider team with creative decision-making.

Key Requirements - Candidate Skills and Attributes 


• Able to talk through design decisions with a diverse range of people

• Keen to work within an international development context

• Interest in editorial/content environment. Keen eye for detail, grammar, and spelling

• Organised, collaborative and attentive to detail with strong communication skills – including verbal communication for liaising with colleagues

• Patient and able to work calmly and collaboratively under pressure and to deadlines


• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word and PowerPoint) and willingness to explore its design capabilities in order to work collaboratively with non-design colleagues

• Knowledge of Adobe products, especially InDesign and Illustrator

• Enthusiasm for working with colleagues to understand complex technical content (including data) and visualise it simply and effectively for specific audience needs

• Knowledge of Wordpress and interest in updating and designing for our website as needed

• Video production, animation, illustration or other creative skills are also welcome

Role Location

• The Integrity Brighton office is a two-minute walk from Brighton Rail Station and close to a range of local bus routes.

Training to be provided

You will undertake the Junior Content Producer Level 3 Apprenticeship. 

Apprentices will receive a mixture of on and off-the-job training in addition to monthly sessions with a Training Coach. Training will be provided at our Training Centre in Brighton and our Training Coaches will offer support and guidance in the workplace where apprentices will gain on-the job experience to build the necessary skills, knowledge, and behaviours they need to begin their career in Digital Marketing.

Digital and Content Producer Apprentice. You will be provide core digital support across a range of key digital areas including web content management, content creation (using Adobe InDesign and photoshop), social media, mail chimp and other apps for ensuring the smooth running of the company with a focus on producing brilliant content


You will be trained in:

  • planning content strategies
  • developing content
  • creating and evaluating content
  • wide understanding of the media industry
  • optimising web content for to ensure high search engine rankings
  • researching ideas and concepts
  • presenting client pitches and proposals

Functional Skills:

English and maths Level 2 - if GCSE Grade C or above, (level 4-9) has not already been achieved.
