Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an accredited CBT Therapist/Chartered Psychologist wishing to expand their CBT experience into Higher Education by working on innovative new courses at the University of Sussex. You will have experience of working with adults with an interest in developing further skills in teaching and supervision. You will be in charge of delivering the Post Graduate and Graduate certificates in Mental Health Wellbeing Practice. You will have a core profession or the equivalent, be BABCP accredited and have significant experience of working with Adults. You will have had experience of working with higher education colleagues running post graduate clinical courses. You will be an experienced supervisor and have worked at a senior level in NHS services.

Main duties of the job

To provide Mental Health Wellbeing practice training at Masters level, delivered in partnership with Sussex University. To provide highly specialist mental health assessment, formulation and interventions based on highly specialist core professional experience of both mental health and the provision of mental health treatment, in particular highly specialist knowledge and experience of working with people with complex mental health difficulties.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
  • Qualification in a core mental health discipline (e.g. Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Medicine, Accredited CB Therapist) together with extensive post qualification experience in first discipline.
  • Accredited by the BABCP as a CBT therapist

Knowledge/Experience
Essential criteria
  • Extensive experience as a Senior Adult Mental Health worker in the NHS or similar institutional setting
