As a Trust we are embarking on a number of large-scale service transformations and a period of sustained growth in our workforce. Central to this growth is our Workforce Supply (Recruitment) team.

We are seeking to appoint an Inclusive Recruitment Advisor within our Talent Attraction & Acquisition Team to help develop our recruitment and selection practices, reaching out to all our community, attracting candidates from all parts of the region and ensuring our recruitment processes are based on best inclusive practice to promote diversity in our workforce.

Main duties of the job

When you join us, you will take a lead role in reviewing our current practice and data. Working with the Talent Attraction & Acquisition Manager to implement improvement strategies based on staff feedback, evidence-based research and the best inclusive practices. The team are also responsible for the employer brand and employer voice and your role will be pivotal in working with our staff networks to ensure this aligns with our vision for a diverse workforce.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
In order to be a successful in this role you will:
  • Have a solid understanding of recruitment processes, selection methods and resourcing best practice
  • Be experienced in engaging stakeholders, including senior individuals within a large organisation
  • Have a demonstrable understanding of the equality and diversity agenda
  • Be comfortable working with data and running reports

It would also be advantageous if you have:
  • Experience working within a large complex organisation
  • An understanding of the workforce challenges within the NHS

We work in a hybrid model, to include both home-working and working from our office and you will be expected to work in this way. Our office is currently based in Aldrington, Hove, however we will be moving to Worthing in 2022. There is also some expectation to travel to sites across Sussex and Hampshire when required, such as to attend recruitment events.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential criteria
  • CIPD or equivalent qualification (NVQ 5) or equivalent relevant experience

EXPERIENCE & Knowledge
Essential criteria
  • Robust experience in an HR, LD or recruitment environment
  • Knowledge and experience of developing and implementing systems and procedures
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting workforce equalities data
  • Experience of delivering workshops and/or training
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of key issues within the NHS and/or other public sector organisations
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel packages
  • Experience of using TRAC, or other recruitment/LD databases
  • Significant experience of using databases, spreadsheets and staff record systems
  • Experience in arranging, preparing agendas and taking minutes of meetings and other meetings as required
