Job overview

Band 4 Senior Support Worker and Recovery Worker, Assessment and Treatment Service (ATS), North West Sussex

2-year fixed term contract or secondment 37.5 hours

An opportunity has arisen to support service users under the care of the Assessment and Treatment Services in Horsham and Crawley as a Senior Support Worker. This is a new pilot post and the postholders will be based in the ATS' and be closely linked with the Crisis team. The role will have a specific remit to provide preventive work with service users under ATS to avoid crisis or admission and support transition back from the crisis team to ATS.

Main duties of the job

You will need to have experience of working in inpatient and/or community with people with mental health needs and co-existing difficulties. You will work autonomously but alongside the ATS Lead Practitioners to offer additional short-term flexible support as part of the service users crisis support plan and help them link in with other community crisis support offers where relevant. You will see people face to face in their homes, in community settings or at the team base as well as offering telephone and video support.

You will join friendly and supportive teams covering Crawley & Horsham ATS', and form close working relationships with the Crisis Team based at Langley Green Hospital, Crawley.
