Job overview
To provide a high standard of cleaning within Shoreham Health Centre. To ensure coverage is met within our units, you may be asked to help support in cleaning local sites within the Trust to support our Hove/Lancing Health Centres.
Main duties of the job
Facilities Assistant - 15 hours per week
We are looking for a motivated and hard-working individuals to work as part of the Facilities team at Shoreham Health Centre, and to support our teams in Lancing and Hove. The successful candidate will help to ensure that our standards meet the National Specifications for Cleanliness in the NHS.
This role involves cleaning in clinical and non-clinical areas, and includes a considerable amount of manual handling and physical work.
Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.
Working Monday-Friday, 16:30pm-19:30pm.

Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE/O'Level standard
Desirable criteria
- Maths and English GCSEs grade C/4 or above
- NVQ Cleaning
- Basic Health & Safety certificate
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a healthcare environment
- Previous experience in Housekeeping/Cleaning/Catering services
Skills
Essential criteria
- Literate and numerate
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Ability to record information accurately
Desirable criteria
- An understanding of infection control principles
