An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Capital Development Project Team as a Project Manager at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive project manager with the relevant qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills.
This person needs to be a team player whilst being able to work alone and have a proven track record in successfully delivering a wide range of construction projects from inception through to completion.
Main duties of the job
Summary of main duties of the job:-
Responsible for delivery of delegated projects from initial inception through to completion including design, obtaining tenders, liaison with statutory bodies, agreeing standards and ensuring they are met, overseeing commissioning, and acceptance of works.
Lead on engagement and management of external consultants required to deliver projects.
Produce MS Project Programme and cash flow forecasts for all schemes and reporting any issues to the Head of Capital Development.
Undertake specific feasibility studies, including preparing option appraisals, AutoCAD drawings, budget estimates, and producing high level project programmes.
Develop specifications and act as technical lead on specific technical subject areas.
Organisation and management of CAD work for the Trust including supervision of Building Technician.
Carries out survey work, updates master drawings as new projects are completed and maintain the Trust's existing CAD drawing library.
Produces CAD drawings as required for capital developments, space planning and property transactions.

The Capital Development Project Team forms part of the Estates and Facilities Directorate. The well established existing team have an excellent blend of qualified professionals of differing disciplines to be able to successfully deliver a wide range of projects throughout the vast portfolio of Trust properties. The team works closely together and are focused on project delivery to a high standard and ensuring client satisfaction.

Qualifications and Professional Registration
Essential criteria
- Degree in an engineering, building, surveying discipline or equivalent
- Membership of an appropriate professional organisation
- Formal qualification and / or substantial working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project
Experience
Essential criteria
- Have significant experience of managing multiple capital projects from inception through to completion
- Experience of producing design and tender documentation including drawings and specification
IT Skills
Essential criteria
- Able to use Excel, Word, AutoCAD and MS Project
