Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Digital Transformation Programme to work as a key member of our Project Support team.

You will be providing onsite assistance with the implementation of the Digital Health Record (SystmOne) across Community Hospitals in Sussex, and potentially support various other Digital projects across the region.

The main task will be to provide 1:1 and group support to both administrative and clinical staff in a variety of clinical environments as they embrace new ways of working.

Fixed term contract (FTC) for eight months, to start in May 2022. Secondment will be considered, and FTC extension may be possible.

You will be based at Brighton General Hospital, but will be required to travel to various sites across Sussex to visit various Trust locations.

Main duties of the job

You will be a self-motivated and well-organised team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.

As part of the role you will be required to work with nurses, doctors, therapists and other healthcare professionals.

You will also work closely with SCFT services, project managers and trainers, providing support for the Digital Transformation team as required.

This role requires you to work flexible days and hours, as some of the Trust's services are operational 24 hours per day, seven days a week.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Project Support Officer will provide onsite and remote assistance to a number of projects across Sussex mainly focusing on the implementation of the Digital Health Record (SystmOne) at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.

Previous experience in a customer service type role, excellent IT literacy, flexibility, and the ability to travel across Sussex is essential.

The Post Holder will have excellent communication skills and the confidence to work closely with Health Visitors, Nurses, Doctors, and other Health Care Professionals. They will be required to work both with the Service Leads and Project Managers as required.

Supporting clinical staff will be of key importance to improving the overall
quality of patient care. As part of your induction period, you will receive detailed training on our Digital applications as required.
