About the role:

The Training Support Officer will provide efficient, accurate and customer focused administrative services to the Airline Training and Academy administration and training teams.

Day to day responsibilities would include:

  • Processing of Trainee Licence Applications in line with EASA and UKCAA regulations
  • Notification to National Aviation Authorities of planned skill tests and proficiency checks
  • Preparation of course material for the start of each Airline Training course
  • Enrolment of trainees & instructors onto in house systems and action any queries received
  • Preparation and submission of training records to client airlines
  • Creation and issue of course completion certificates
  • Filing and archiving control of instructor & candidate training records in accordance with GDPR Retention Policy & National Aviation Authority requirements
  • Maintaining system databases covering Airline Training candidate / instructor records and training documentation
  • Supporting the ATO Training Standards and Training Policy Group and any other ATO strategic meetings with; the maintenance of records, minutes, assignment and tracking of action points distributed to the Senior Management team
  • Regularly auditing processes which impact the regulatory aspects of the core modules and to ensure collaboration with key stakeholders as part of the implementation of updates and audit outputs
  • Acquire and maintain a detailed, working knowledge of UK CAA and EASA regulations applicable to the ATO along with an understanding and application of authority requirements relating to approvals, licencing, and documentation
  • Creation of purchase orders and processing of purchase invoices
  • Timely processing of enquiries from instructors and customers
  • Provide cover for Technical Publications & Licencing Executive in case of absence / annual leave
  • Assist the Training Support & Publications Manager when required

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

  • Educated to GCSE Level A-C (or equivalent) including English and Maths
  • Knowledge of Professional Pilot Licencing Regulations (Preferred not essential)
