Are you a caring, engaging and innovative pharmacist with an interest in mental health? If so, you could be well suited to this role.

We are looking to recruit a highly committed band 8a Lead Pharmacist (Mental Health) to join our pharmacy team based at the Department of Psychiatry, Eastbourne.

Ideally you will have experience in mental health pharmacy, or a passion for mental health and experience of managing a team. We welcome applications from pharmacists across all sectors who have a strong clinical mindset and proven management history.

This post is subject to an enhanced check with adults barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job:

Provide leadership to the pharmacy team and promote development of pharmacy services that enhance prescribing support and patient care.

Provide support and advice to the ward teams, working closely with your colleagues in an MDT environment.

This post presents a great opportunity for an experienced pharmacist motivated by the desire to improve patient care to support the well established medicines management team at the Department of Psychiatry, Eastbourne .

The role demands an organised, flexible individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work on their own initiative.

The team provides a well-structured support system, access to professional training, and excellent opportunity for professional development.
