Job overview

To assist clinical with roster related services and provide a comprehensive range of administrative services to the team.

The Roster Co-ordinator and Administrator will provide a full administrative service, having daily liaison with a wide range of staff at all levels and regular contact with people who use services and their carers, who may at times be distressed or angry. The Roster Co-ordinator and Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the office environment for the team and be responsible for the safe keeping and maintenance of patient files accordingly to Trust policy and procedure and for maintaining an effective roster service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide a range of administrative support to clinical teams but will primarily be focused on assisting senior staff with roster related services.

You will be someone who's strengths include; planning and organisational skills, excellent time management and someone who is adaptive and able to respond to the challenges of change and development of an exciting service. A working knowledge of Word and Excel will be essential. Further training can be given for this and other NHS systems if required.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Tasks will include: taking phone calls from service users, their families and professionals, minute taking, typing of clinical letters and helping to maintain and input data for a number of audits and systems needed for the smooth running of the service. You may be the first point of contact for people experiencing emotional distress. Further training in how to understand mental health difficulties can be provided to support you in your role.

There may be times when you will be required to provide admin support to other teams in Sussex and attend meetings in other locations. (In line with Trust policy expenses will be given to cover travel costs).
