What you’ll do at Elekta

As an Engineering Manager, you will be reporting to the Director of Engineering and be part of the Enterprise Platform Group. This Global function is driving the delivery of Elekta’s Software Platform and remote monitoring system. 

• Leading an engineering team of 10 – 30, responsible for end-to-end ownership, delivery, and maintenance of a remote monitoring platform for use across all Elekta.
• Building a collaborative work environment, instilling an inspirational and healthy culture within the organization. Actively involved in mentoring, coaching, succession planning, and retention strategies.
• Working with Product, UX, and other senior stakeholders across Elekta to plan and deliver new features and support new product releases.
• Encouraging innovation and working creatively as part of wider Elekta, collaborating with colleagues to deliver excellent software.
• Driving understanding and easy adoption of the Elekta remote connectivity for all software engineering teams in Elekta.
• Giving credible advice on modern digital engineering delivery solutions and development practices to stakeholders across Elekta, including senior management and non-technical functions.

The right stuff

• BA/BSc degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience leading and managing software engineering teams delivering complex projects
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external clients and suppliers
• Experience in applying Agile and/or Lean software development practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices, containerisation or framework development experience.
• Familiarity with server and storage infrastructure
• Knowledge of medical technology and the regulatory framework.
• Strong hands-on technical experience.
• Proven ability to think in a strategic manner to develop innovative product solutions
• Experience at a high-tech company with an established reputation for driving cutting-edge, market-leading technology.
