Production Assistant

Production Assistants required for a seasonal contract based in Worthing to start at the end of September and will keep you busy up until the end of the year! We will be recruiting for dependable candidates who are able to work in a busy environment to help assist with fulfilling orders for our client. 

You will be joining a dynamic and friendly team where full training will be provided. This position would suit individuals who enjoy hands on, manual roles that keeps you moving throughout the shift. Flexibility is also key as you will be undertaking different tasks throughout the day depending on which areas (packing, despatch etc.) need assistance the most.

There is possibility of being offered a permanent position after this contact for successful candidates. 

The site is close to transport links and a paid 4 hour induction/interview will be required prior to the start date.  

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Picking and processing orders
• Monitoring system for new orders
• Communicating with colleagues and other departments on a daily basis
• Assisting with production which can include operating machines (such as debossing/embroidery/framing) once trained
• Building orders ready for despatch 
• Moving/handling stock and loading and unloading goods 

Requirements for this role include:

• Must have good English and communication skills
• Able to work with a team and in a busy working environment
• Previous production/warehouse experience is ideal but not essential 
• Fast learner and self motivated

Hours: Shifts vary between 6am to midnight, full or part time with weekends

Pay: £9.83 per hour
