Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for a receptionist role which will also include general administrative tasks i.e. booking consulting rooms for a variety of users, sorting post, photocopying documents, use of our Trust patient computer system and answering incoming phone calls. You will be required to upload confidential patient information and prepare appointment documents; therefore, evidence of good IT skills will be essential.

You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, adaptable and able to work off your own initiative as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Effective communication skills and a commitment to caring for patients in the community must be demonstrated.

Main duties of the job
  • Previous reception and switchboard experience would be desirable
  • Knowledge of software programmes / IT systems
  • Experience of working with the public
