In a nutshell
A phenomenal opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accounting Manager known internally as our Cashbook manager as we embark on an exciting time of strategic change projects, which will have a significant impact on the way we reconcile and report on cash. This role will be pivotal in guiding the team through the next year of change, including implementing a new Sales to Cash reconciliation process and a new ERP accounting system whilst contributing to and testing the integrity of backend cash processes impacted by new Payment Platforms.
This is an extremely visible role and will be a key contact for project and business teams looking to implement change. Taking ownership of the completeness of reporting for VAA & VAH cash and bank balances ensuring all accounting and reporting commitments are met.

• Oversight of a strong and robust bank and cash reconciliation process, ensuring movements are understood and reconciling items are cleared off in a timely manner
• Challenging other teams to justify entries affecting cash and bank balances
• Ensuring accruals and unremitted cash are monitored and sufficiently backed up with appropriate evidence and documentation
• Leading detailed investigations into Sales to Cash reconciliations to explain movements and variances in balances
Process, systems, and projects:
• Motivate the team to build and maintain process maps documentation which clearly sets out key handoffs and controls for all key processes.
• Identify and resolve issues which impede the reconciliation process by working with the Revenue Accounting, Working Capital and Financial Accounting teams in the UK and overseas.
• Spearhead effort to drive greater efficiencies in processes and reporting through the implementation of dashboards and automation tools
• Contribute to, assist project teams and where required lead implementation of small and large scale change in cash accounting processes
Team and people development:
• Lead, manage and develop the team and their performance, providing constructive feedback where necessary
• Deliver appropriate skills development plans tailored to the team's needs, providing clear objectives to measure and support performance and development
