About this role?

We need volunteers to accept cheques on behalf of the Trust, for funds raised by local individuals and community groups. This may involve giving a short talk (usually 5 minutes or so), having your photo taken to be placed in local media and internal communications, and you may also be required to provide a quote for the media on behalf of the charity.

What will I be doing?

• Attending events held by local groups to accept cheques or cash on behalf of the charity

• Banking the cheques or cash and reporting the paying-in details to the charity by email

What skills do I need?

• Enthusiasm about the work of the charity

• Ability to handle cash

• Able to deliver the key messages and information provided by the Trust

• Confident in speaking to groups of people

When can I volunteer?

The role is flexible and can work around your personal life. The office will notify you of the cheque presentations we need help with and you can choose what to volunteer for.

Who will I report to?

The Head of Volunteer Development, and you will be liaising with the Fundraising team regarding individual cheque presentations.
