Our Opportunity

An opportunity to join the HR Operations team as the Systems and Business Analyst role has landed. In this role, you will maintain the integrity of existing internal systems and data that support learning operations within Thales. You will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in learning systems and projects. You will own work packages on projects and deliver system capability within Thales, producing management information and conducting data analysis to drive improved business outcomes.

Using your continuous learning mind-set, you will strive to support process efficiency, operational excellence and cost reduction through high quality provision of technology and interpretation of data. 

Day to day you will:

  • Work as part of the L&D Support Team to deliver the schedule of system activity for our customers and to maintain internal systems and to prioritise project-related activity.

  • Work with other stakeholders to identify and develop technical solutions, streamline business processes and deliver measurable efficiencies.

  • Maintain quality of systems data through continuous governance of processes.

  • Gather and manage system requirements to ensure solutions deliver desired outcomes and achieve measurable benefits.

  • Work on projects to lead work packages, supporting the project to deliver on time and within budget.

  • Ensure operational processes are aligned to systems to achieve maximum effectiveness and efficiency.  

  • Dealing with inbound queries from internal stakeholders, acting as a point of escalation for query resolution both for the UK and Globally.

  • Co-ordinate and complete testing for changes, upgrades and developments to business systems, including liaison with Thales UK and Thales group.

  • Proactively assess data entry processes, conduct root cause analysis on errors and define, implement and monitor solutions through training and engagement with wider team.

  • Interrogate systems to provide reporting and data analysis to support business decisions and fulfil client requirements.

About You

You should be curious and methodical with a solutions driven mind-set. You should have some experience within a HR systems environment, with a focus on Learning Management systems being advantageous.  Involvement in project work and process design is key, as you take the lead on work packages to deliver the best solutions. Some experience of deploying technology to cross functional teams would be advantageous, but most critical is a strong desire to learn and upskill, as we are willing to invest in your training!
