About the role
All Saints Hove is seeking a highly organised Administrator to manage our office and venue hire.
All Saints is an active church and community hub, delivering a wide variety of events and activities each week across our site, ranging from parent and toddler groups, to public theology lectures, to our One Bread Café. We also hire out our spaces (including our beautiful Grade 1 listed church building, plus our hall, crypt and meeting rooms) to a diverse range of different organisations and community groups each week, from large-scale events such as concerts and craft fairs, to community meetings and classes.
This is an important role at the centre of our operations, where you will be the friendly face of All Saints to our community groups, venue hire customers and members of the church congregation.
The role is 24 hours per week, with a regular working pattern to be established (e.g. it might be 6 hours per day Mon – Thursday, or an alternative regular pattern). You will be based fully on-site in the Parish Office.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a creative, community-focused organisation at an exciting time of growth, with lots of scope to bring creativity and innovative solutions to help us run more efficiently.
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
Essential
Excellent communication skills both oral and written, including a friendly phone manner
Highly organised and self-motivated
Adaptable and a good problem solver
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to multi-task and prioritise your workload
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of different people
Strong IT skills, competent with using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Previous experience in an administrative role
Desirable
Experience of implementing new systems and processes to drive greater efficiency
Experience of working in a church setting
An understanding of the workings of the Church of England

Interviews will be held on 19th and 20th December.
