HSE Coordinator

What is the role?

The Gatwick Airport HSE Coordinator role will be reporting to the HSE Operations Manager while working as part of the HSE team. Responsible for supporting HSE matters across Gatwick Airport with focus on management systems e.g., ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, data analytics, internal reporting, document management systems, audit management processes, managing HSE communication, Managing the Team agenda. The HSE Coordinator will be performance driven with the ability to communicate clear and concise information, while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

What will you do?
  • Assist with the management of incident, near miss and hazard reporting data, including supporting appropriate investigations.
  • Support with the management of the proactive safety processes, including risk assessments, the planning of safety audits, inspections, and helping develop easy to use forms and templates within our health and safety processes.
  • Organised and manage HSE Book of Work (team schedule)
  • Produce and deliver safety data and reports for use by internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage and maintain HSE systems (e.g., Incident Reporting, DSE)
  • Programme and assure HSE Team internal meetings and governance
  • Support nominations we make for safety awards and to obtain safety accreditation with external organisations.
  • Assist with the administration and upkeep of the document management system to ensure that our advice, corporate policies and procedures are kept current and are readily accessible.

Do you have what we're looking for?
  • Foundation knowledge in general health and safety.
  • IT Literate with strong Microsoft office skills - Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Knowledge of communication delivery - (publisher, Canva or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of data systems and ability to use IT to collect, analyse, interpret and present information.
  • A minimum of 2 years H&S experience.
  • Team management experience
  • Excellent written and oral communications.
